Sucre - The White City

Sucre(2790m) is one of the two capitals of Bolivia. Unlike the other capital La Paz, Sucre retains much of the elegance when it was founded in the 16th century. As most of buildings in the city centre are painted in white, Sucre also earns the name "La Ciuda Blanca", meaning The White City.

The elegant white buildings and trees near the plaza.

The church in the quiet Sunday.

Stunning contrast between the white building and the deep blue sky.

The charming Plaza 25 de Mayo is surrounded by plenty of trees.

I love the freshly-squeezed juice all over Bolivia. Among all, my favourite is the grapefruit.

It reminds me the pair of lions which stand in front of HSBC in HK.

Dazzling white.

From the top of a small hill, I could see the brown roofs of the city.

Parque Bolivar.

The supreme court, it is located in Sucre instead of La Paz.

Another fine building outside the white city centre.
