Other small but interesting towns

Near Lac de Neuchatel, there are two little towns, the nearby one is Avenches. It is very important in history as it was the Roman Capital in Switzerland in 58BC.

So you can find this small version of Colosseum in the town. This restored Amphitheatre is said that it could hold 12,000people for the fighting performance. Now it is a place for concerts or artitstic performance.

A small castle at the top of the hill.

An ancient column is intergrated with the building.

Then we drove to the next small town, Murten, the foundation is dating back to 1476. It is a very quaint town with beautiful city wall. It is one of my top 3 favourite towns in Switzerland.

It is a little bit look like Bern.

Every town has a beautiful fountain.

Slowing riding through all the small alleys.

A nice window and bench.

We climbed on the wooden bridge on the city wall.

Here we could have an overview of the whole town. I love the colour of the brick roof tops.

Harmony alignment.

The Scholss castle at the back.

We could have a glimpse of the Lac de Murten at the back.

A church.
