Italian part of Switzerland - Lucarno, Corrippo and Ascona

Switzerland's landscape and cultures are very diversed. It mainly divided into four parts, the German part in the north, French part in Southwest, Italian part in South and the Roman part in the east. The Italian part is the only part I hadn't visited last time. Thanks for Ursina and Fabrizio, they drove me to the southern part of Switzerland, I could even stay in the traditional Italian style house of Fabrizio in Locarno.

The road leads to the south has wonderful scenery.

Beautiful houses on the road to Locarno.

Wow...it was the only thing I could exclaim when facing all the jaw-dropping scenery.

A very steep cliff with a small bridge. Imagine the people in the past had to walk along this dangerous cliff all the way from Italy to Switzerland...

Live music in the main plaza in Locarno.

Flea market.

Street scene.

We went to Valle Maggia, to visit the famous dam when James Bond had done the bumgee jump here.

Everyone can also pay and jump this few hundred meters. Do you want to do it?

We had a nice walk around the nearby village.

Water coming from snow mountains.

Swiss style??

Then we arrived a very beautiful and old bridge in Lavertezzo.

The water is so clear that it always attracts a lot of divers.

Look at this hidden beautiful village, Corrippo. We were going to trek to there.

The stone houses are so unique.

So cute!

It would be such a pleasure to live here and relaxed.

At night(the day here is very long), we walked around Lago Maggiore and we walked to Ascona where is more popular for tourists.

The greenery around Lago Maggiore.

As Switzerland and Italy share Lago Maggiore, I could see Italy from Switzerland(the snow moutnain on the opposite side).

Ascona. Full of touristic restaurants which face the lake.

Street scene.

View of Lago Maggiore from Ascona. I still remember how bare is this kind of trees in the winter.
